SM-5 (СМ-5) hard-alloy, self-sharpening crown boring bits

it is designated for boring mainly of slightly abrasive, monolith and slightly fissured rocks of categories V-VI by drillability (dolomites, limestones, serpentinites, etc.)

Peculiarities:

• the cutting element of the crown bit is armoured with prisma-shaped hard-alloy (VK6, ВК6) cutters of light-gauge (3x3 mm), as arranged perpendicularly to the working face plane - for boring homogeneous rocks;  
• the crown boring bit is equipped with main and side cutting tools which overlap the whole working face area and arranged at various altitude to divide the mine face into separate crushing areas for the purpose of increasing mechanical speed of boring.
