Description

Hard-alloy, self-sharpening crown boring bit SM-6 (СМ-6) is manufactured under ГОСТ (GOST) 11108-70. The crown boring bit is armoured with a hard alloy.

It is designated for core boring, mainly of slightly abrasive, monolith and interbedded rocks of categories 5-6 by drillability: dolomites, limestones, clay and malm shales and serpentines. The crown boring bit consists of the body with sludge and flushing slots as well as of welded main and additional cutting tools (hard alloy plates).

Material applied: body - steel 45 GOST (ГОСТ) 8732-78, hard-alloy cutters VK6 (ВК6) GOST (ГОСТ) 3882-67, solder - brass L63 (Л63).
