PL-500B belt feeders

Belt feeder PL-500B are designed to regulate the flow of bulk material. Uniform unloading is required when products are supplied from hoppers or other storage tanks for continuous transportation: to belt conveyors, to crushers, screens, mills, to separating units, etc. The feeder can be used as a volumetric feeder.

Belt feeder PL-500B are a structure consisting of a welded frame on which a hopper and a belt conveyor with multilayer conveyor belt and drive are mounted. The feeder is fixed to the hopper by the top of the feed hopper with the help of bolts.

The principle of the belt feeder operation

The feed material is loaded into the feeder hopper. As a result of the drive drum rotation the conveyor belt is given a translational motion by moving the material thereon. The rotation of the drive drum is transmitted from the electric motor through a reducer. The belt is cleaned with a scraper cleaner. If the transported product is pulverized, the feeder can be equipped with a cover.

The tape feeder output depends on the speed of the belt, which can be varied due to the frequency converter and / or the thickness of the product layer with a slide gate.
