SB-12 Scrubber-trommel

Scrubber-trommel SB-12 are designed for the disintegration of clay and silt admixtures from natural soils, sands of ore and placer deposits, washing of placers, primary deposits and nonmetallic materials with subsequent classification, as well as for washing of various raw materials in schemes for the recycling of secondary materials of artificial origin.

The scrubber consist of a welded frame on which a cylindrical drum is mounted and a drive mechanism consisting of gear motors and drive wheels. Gear motors initiate rotation of the drive rolls, which, in their turn, transfer the rotation to the drum mounted on them. To increase the efficiency of use of the scrubber’s useful area, the inner space of the drum is divided by partitions with increasing throughput diameters. The available on the partitions discharge blades and working blades on the inner surface of the drum increase the effectiveness of the equipment.

Trommel is a drum classifying device and is attached to the scrubber without having its own drive. Trommels is a frame, the outer surface of which is designed for the installation of screens. For better distribution of the pulp along the screen a conveying discharge screw is mounted on the inner surface of the trommel. Removable screens can be of different design: perforated sheets, slotted or wire screens.

The principle of operation of scrubber-trommels.

The dry mass of the raw material together with process water is fed into the feeding hole located at the end of the scrubber. Rotation of the scrubber drum ensures product shredding by working blades, mixing and washing with process water. Working blades improve the process of grinding, mixing and washing of bulk product, and unloading blades ensure its transportation in the inner chambers of the drum. The pulp from the scrubber enters the trommel, where it is separated according to the required size of the feed material. The dimensions of the screening holes or slots are determined on the basis of the size of the useful component and the choice of separators.
