2GMK-14х90 Trough type gravel washers are designed to move the clayey and dusty inclusions out from gravel or crushed stone with grain size up to 100 mm in order to improve its consumer properties.

The trough type gravel washer consists of an inclined washing tank with two blade shafts rotating towards each other on which the blades forming an intermittent spiral are installed along the helix. Blades are used for mixing the material and transporting it from the lower loading part of the tank to the discharge door located in the upper part of the tank. The tank’s inclination to the horizon is 8-12 °.

Principle of operation of the trough type gravel washer

The main washing process takes place in the lower part of the tank filled with water that is fed into the unit together with the material. Clay slurry is removed from the lower part of the tank through the tail board, which controls the water level in the tank. In the upper part of the tank the material is additionally washed with water from spraying devices, become anhydrous due to the natural drainage of water and removed through the door.
