KPV-4A tunnelling system for Chukotka

Mining Machines, JSC supplied a KPV-4A tunnelling system to an enterprise in the Chukotka Region.

KPV-4A systems are intended for the development of raises in resistant medium-hard and hard rocks in the mining industry. They are used in the construction of special structures, including in gas-hazardous and dust-hazardous mines.

The system itself consists of a self-propelled sollar, a monorail, an automatic hose winch, a power adapter, as well as communication and lighting equipment.

A sollar is a self-propelled cabin with a drilling platform moving on a monorail fixed to the wall of a working. Sections are built up in proportion to raising. Movement is carried out with the help of a reversible pneumatic motor. Air is delivered to the pneumatic motor from the mine main pipe via a power adaptor.

All the components of the system were delivered in a special container, and we managed to meet the deadline set by the customer.
