Mineral resources are hardly ever found on the surface. For this reason, their extraction is associated with sophisticated technological processes, where the need to handle clayey matters often complicates the mining technologies.
Sand clay, clay loam and plain clay stick to the ore, creating the need for additional processing stages. The ore can be washed with water. For this purpose, drum screens, scrubber sizing trommels and other washing units are used in the mining industry. However, at the temperature of −450C, this does not work. Clayey ore can be milled with a crushing machine for the entire volume of the material to be delivered to the refinery. This plan foresees all additional labour resources and financial expenses.

Mobile sorting unit «Valkyrie-1,2M» with the capacity reaching 400 tons per hour cleans and sorts the material at the place of production. The task is performed with a feeding roll screen. The two sections of the feeding roll screen form a cascade of four sets of 24 eccentric shafts. The rotating rolls move the material down the shaft sets towards the unloading belt. If the fraction of the particles is smaller than the spaces between the roll plates, they fall through the screening drum to the collecting belt.
A programmable frequency converter regulates the speed and switches the shaft rotation to the opposite direction, while the movement parameters are adjusted to the material properties.

Stand-alone
«Valkyrie-1,2M» is equipped with an own diesel generator which makes it independent from any external power sources. At the same time, if the attached power unit needs to be stopped for maintenance, the electric cabinet can be connected to the external grid of 380W/50Hz or an external diesel generator.
Electrically driven
An electric drive is more compact than a hydraulic one, easier to maintain and more environmentally friendly. The electrically driven sorting unit stably operates at the high temperatures up to +500С and the low temperatures up to −500С.
