VD type pump – a rotary type double-entry single-stage horizontal pump with liquid double semi-spiral inlet to the impeller of double inlet and volute diffuser. The pump operating principle is the transformation of the drive mechanical energy into the liquid hydraulic energy due to the hydrodynamic drag of the impeller blades, drive and retraction.

The pump body consists of two parts, upper and lower, which horizontal connection goes through the pump rotor axle. The suction and force tubes, which are directed oppositely 90 degrees to the pump axle, are in the body lower part. Such position of the tubes and the body horizontal connection allow disassembling, inspecting and substituting the pump operative parts without removing the pump from the base and without the electric motor and tubing dismantling.
