Mining Machines are often engaged in the assembly and launch of SBS machines — sometimes there are simply no qualified specialists at the customer's enterprises, so customers call our service team. In this article, we will take a detailed look at our experience in setting up the upgraded drilling rig SBSH-250MN-32 on a real example
SBSH-250-32 is a maneuverable self-propelled drilling rig on a tracked track with electric drives for the stroke and rotation of the drilling rig, as well as hydraulic by feeding to the face.
This drilling rig is designed for drilling vertical and inclined blast wells in open-pit mining. SBSH-250 is equipped with a driver's cab with air conditioning, vibration-proof seat and glass with electric heating. All technological processes from drilling to bit replacement are mechanized. More detailed information about the machine and its technical characteristics can be found in our catalog.
This time our specialists carried out installation supervision and commissioning of the SBSH-250MN-32 machine, which was also equipped with a new control system. The service department managed to meet 15 days instead of the proposed 26.
The mining and processing company needed modern equipment to solve a strategic task — 3 drilling rigs were working at the enterprise, but the customer wanted to redirect one of them to drilling and blasting operations. This required to put into operation another machine, which was ordered from the "Mining machines". The production time together with delivery was 134 days instead of 160 planned. The equipment was delivered to the site in separate units — cabin, body, mast and running gear. Such transportation of drilling rigs is a common thing, because such large equipment is considered oversized and is delivered by 4-5 railway platforms. But this delivery method implies further assembly specialists, so the client decided to contact us.
According to the contract, 26 days were allotted for carrying out all the work, but in fact it took our specialists 15. Of course, the main guarantee of such success is a lot of experience in assembly. Every second business trip of our specialists is a trip to launch of SBS machines

But one experience does not solve everything — recall, the machine was with an upgraded control system, and these are additional difficulties:
Note
A period of 26 days is given due to the calculated average time of labor costs - each manipulation of a specialist is scheduled by the hour. But we did it 11 days faster — due to the experience and qualifications at the factory.
We also saved 26 days on the production and delivery of the drilling rig, which together with the quick assembly allowed us to win an additional 37 days for the customer.
The client was satisfied — the team of "Mining machines" performed their work qualitatively, showed the company's employees the specifics of working on such machines, and also met the deadline. The most important thing is the strategic task the problem is solved.
