SMD-508 (СМД-508) jaw crusher

Jaw crusher SMD-508 (СМД-508) is designated for fine crushing of rocks with the compression resistance of up to 250 MPa.

Breaking of material in the jaw crusher is carried out by compressing and partly grinding between two breaking plates of which one is fixed and the other makes oscillating and forward-backward motion letting material into the wedge-shaped crushing chamber. When jaws approach each other material pieces are crushed and under gravitation force move to the outlet slot where pieces which have reached the size less than that of the slot during the stage of swing-back of the moving jaw, fall out of the crushing chamber. The biggest fineness of the finished product amounts to approximately 1.4-1.5 of the preset size of the outlet slot.

Crushing plates are casted of wear-resistant manganese steel. Working surfaces of the plates are fabricated textured so that rolls of one plate are disposed opposed to swells of the other. When bottom part of each of the crushing plates is worn, it may be flipped over with its worn side upside.
